Precisely, TQ!! I couldn't have ssaid it better myself.

You can check to see if you have t/l's reporting anytime....www.smartbusinessreports.com. You can't see who it is, but you can see if you exist in their system yet.

I was not trying to judge, and you are right...this is becoming a waste of typing efforts. My point is and will continue to be, that we as a forum should strongly discourage obtaining biz credit with no "business", either started or planned for the future. I mistook the op at the beginning, apparently, and stand corrected on that issue alone. As far as the point of my posting, I just want to make sure that I continue to have access to the great information I have gotten on this board. No judging here. Paperchase, I have seen many people on this board get FLAMED for so much as ASKING where to find the answer to a specific question. You are not being attacked!!! I just took the opportunity your post presented and ran with it. I think if you read back over my posts, my points are just. Now, have you checked you intelliscore today? I have 3 reporting, and you and started opening net 30's about the same time. Hopefully you should have some as well.

The point is, what the op (I thought) was infering needed to be addressed...and that was the issue of obtining biz credit to overcome bad personal credit. I didn't think I in any way displayed any drama in my responses. I know anyone with bad credit, and yes I have been one of those people for reasons that were not entirely my fault, looks for ways to try to get back into the credit world any way possible. It sucks to be at the mercy of predatory lenders and loan sharks just to get through life!! I am not saying the op is wrong to try and better himself, just wrong to take advantage of a system that allows others of us trying to obtain credit for a business to help with spending power and cash flow. I mean, let's face it...just about anyone can obtain an ein number, spend a few bucks on some net 30's, wait for a duns and then wiggle their way into a citi biz after a little patience and perserverence. I don't think that is what citibank has in mind by offering the biz programs they offer. And if too many people start using this as a way to get back into credit reality, well then, we can probably kiss their cards goodbye. I have repaired my credit to the point that I have some decent credit lines, and a lot of self respect for accomplishing MOST of my repair. Getting easy credit with little effort could be a recipe for disaster....especially easy credit that won't hurt you personally. But if you think that is funny, well then, I don't share your sense of humor. I just hope the op, no matter how tight his budget, atleast works on the 2 simultaneously, and is really trying to help finance a REAL business. I wouldn't want any newbies to read this post and get a misguided impression regarding credit repair. I want everyone here to be successful...just not cause those willing to share their successes obtaining biz credit lines to stop because they are afraid of future repercussions.

Yes, sammie, that is true. I have just been ble to tell that a lot of the board vets, like Tee and others take it very seriously when people come here looking for ways to obtain credit in a business name and have no real regard for furthering a business. I mean realistically if the OP has credit in the 400's that should be the focus. Most of us have been there, and I KNOW there are plenty of people on the credit forum who will gladly help in any way. This is not a "quick fix" for poor personal credit. If too many people start taking advantage of the biz credit system it could hurt us all. To the OP, I am not trying to bash you, just remember, this all takes time. You can obtain a better personal score, and move forward from there. Trust me, I have had a year invested in personal credit, and 4-5 months in building biz. credit. It can be done, and you have alot of help here if you choose to proceed in a more appropriate way. Good Luck!

Yes, i know I have a corp management account. This post was in reference to the credit app I submitted for my biz., which I thought was denied. I think it probably still is as Tee's post makes perfect sense.
-
Maybe I assumed, but it just seemed to me like it was a backdoor, and not to help with any real business venture.
-
I am with Jacqui. You will find not too many people on this forum willing to help you with your endeavor if all you are trying to accomplish is a backdoor for credit. Many people here have researched countless hours to establish credit and increase cash flow for businesses that are legit. They are willing to help others of us are are now trying to start or help our own businesses. Please do not come here looking for a free ride to more credit if you have no intention of starting a biz. It will hurt the rest of us.

Greetings from Amazon.com. Thank you for submitting your application to open an Amazon.com Corporate Credit Account. Further processing is required before a credit decision can be made. You will receive written notification of our decision within 7-10 business days, sent to the address indicated on your application. Please note: If you want to make a purchase at Amazon.com right now, you can do so, but will need to use a credit card. Click here to access your corporate account management area: I applied for Amazon like 3 or 4 weeks ago, and they said not without a PG. I wonder why I got this via e-mail today? Do you think they are reprossesing my app?

That happened to me and fortunately I know a loan officer with the company that was reporting me late AFTER the loan was sold to another lender. Before she got involved, it was a royal pain as they kept verifying. Good Luck. I know it is frustrating!

Wow, Linx. I am sorry to hear what has happened, but you definitely should have a solid case. Bayview serviced one of our loans, and they are without a doubt "predatory". Tell your DW to keep her chin up and not to let the newspaper article get her down. I know that will be difficult since now a lot of people know your business, but many of those people are probably relieved to find out that someone they know is in a situation similar to theirs!!! As far as the paper goes, did you go into bk or foreclosure as the result of any of the things the article mentioned? If not, I would name them in a suit also for defamation, and at the very least accept a retraction. Good luck, and congrats on the new house. Soon this will all be a distant memory.

of course get legal advice, but my thought on this is a totally separate corp. 1st of all it will simply be the easiest from a bookkeping perspective since internet sales require different procedures for collecting sales tax, etc. 2nd of all, we have a similar situation with our flooring/cabinet biz. I made the mistake of doing 2 dba's under 1 corp name and it has been a real hassle. Sounds like a very interesting biz you are starting...good luck with it!

Yes.

I was even asked for a PG on HD ( but not Staples). I am listed in Duns, but nothing reporting, and they still said no without a PG. Oh well, maybe in 85 more days they'll consider it. Office Depot did approve me without anything reporting, but I have no idea about the limit. Maybe 250-500? That seems about the norm for others with nothing reporting.YMMV
