This is weird. We moved and we updated our address with the IRS. We recieved the letter two weeks ago stating the amount we would recieve. My hubby's last two of his SSN is 38 and it was due to be mailed out on the 6th. No check yet. My sis's was due to be mailed out on the 13th and she got her's yesterday. And they say we cant call them about it until July 4th. That is crazy! We didnt owe any taxes and recieved our refund already. I dont know what to do. Anyone else going through this?

Hello all I had my daughter Dec 2005 and had a tubal. My husband is active duty and we have always been covered by Tricare Prime. So last year some time, we got a bill from the hospital saying that we owed them 500+ dollars. I called them and was told that my insurance didnt pay for my tubal. I call Tricare and the woman insists that the procedure was "coded" wrong and not to worry about it. When the hospital fixed it, then they would pay. Fast forward December of last year and we recieve a letter from them saying that they were gonna offset the cost of the procedure against our state income tax. I started laughing because for one, we dont pay state income tax b/c we are Fl residents but this happened while we were in SC so I just started laughing! My husband still claims Fl. I told her that they needed to fix the code on the procedure then they will get paid! She argues with me and all that jazz...but I hang up on her. But question is this? Can they really do that? Im asking b/c we still havent recieved our stimulus yet and it was supposed to be mailed out on the 6th. We changed our address when we moved to AZ a couple of months ago and the letter came stating how much we should be getting. Im just wondering...ya know....

I just applied online and they approved me! I applied about 6 months ago and was denied! I am also in Chex.

i havent received anything from the creditors...Im going to get the bills they send to the house and call them.

OOps, sorry, balance owed is actually 403 on First Premier Yes, cap1 is listing as a charge off and there is no balance owed. Thanks for the other info

Ok, I just checked my credit and I have a score of 481 This is what I have on there that is negative Cross Country Bank Charge Off. Credit Limit 500, Balance Owed 1032 First Premier Bank-Credit Limit 250, Balance Owed 103 Gemb/Dillards-Credit Limit 400, Balance Owed 670 ( I would actually like to reage this one...is that possible? Cant seem to get a number for Gemb) Capital One they have listed as a charge off but we settled on that account with them in January 2001, so it is incorrectly listed as a CO, or is that correct. Should I write a Goodwill letter to them to get it removed off my reports? Basically I would like a score of at least 650 my the summer of next year. Do you think it is possible? What steps should I take to get these things off of my report? Thanks

Have you tried to renegotiate the interest rate? Yes I have been trying that for the past year and they still havent budged.

Myhubby is military and we have 4 children. We havev about 20,000 in credit card debt and all of the interest rates are 25 and above except fro military star which is about 10%. We can barely afford to feed our family now b/c we are trying to pay these bills. We don't qualify for another credit card because of debt to ratio income. Any strategies? I have read on here before that some people just didn't pay their bill so that they could try to settle on the account. Then later get all of the baddies wiped out. Could someone please help me come up with a plan? Thank you!!!!!!!
