yes its a car loan. This is a very sneaky and underhanded collection company and I just want them punished for all the violations they are getting away with. I live in NY and they are in Dallas.

I have a loan with Chase finance, its behind, so they hired a 3rd party collector. I get a call from an "investigator" Tracy Lee, she will not tell me what company she works for, only that she is with "Fraud, theft and compliance". No matter how much I ask she will not tell me her company name, but tells me its for chase auto. I do research with her phone number, I find its from Cobb and Associates in Dallas, I ask her if thats her employer, she says NO, I finally get a supervisor to admit thats the name but only after he spends 10 minutes telling me its not important who their employer is. After a week she calls the refrences I had on my auto application, a friend of mine, and asks her where I am living and if I dont get ahold of her immediatley a warrant will be out for my arrest. Then she calls my other refrence, my sister and tells her who my loan is with, how far behind I am and what I owe. She also only identifies herself as Investigator Tracy Lee with Fraud theft and Compliance. She is a debt collector and nothing more. What can I do? I want to report their violations but who do I do that with? I filed a complaint with FTC and Dallas Business Bureu but they wont accept the letter from them so the BBB cant do anything?? Any Ideas??

If you paid 60% you aren't responsible for the balance? Is this true?(I owe on a repo)
-
I had a car repoed in Dec 2004, by citifinancial, they have yet to collect the outstanding balance, is there a time limit they have in collecting this past due amount, or will it hang over me forever? I am in NY and the amt is $5000

I rent a beautiful home, and the landlord has asked me if I would like to enter into a lease option and within 2 years I would need to finance the mortgage thru a traditional mortgage. I have HORRIBLE credit, ch 13 1996-voluntarily dismissed, ch 13 2003-voluntarilly dismissed(both were done to save our house, we dismissed because eventually both times the mortgage company agreed to a mortgage modification, we eventually divorced and the house was lost in foreclosure, (FHA-nothing is owed)I also have about 40,000 in credit card, medical and leftover debts from the 2 BK's, plus a few judgements. My question is- If I file a ch 7 and start new, spend a year or 2 rebuilding, would I be able to find financing and at a decent rate, or just forget home ownership for the next 10 years because it would take that long to repay everyone I owe. Is it possible with my terrible credit to think I'd ever own a home again? Is it possible to file BK and own a home a year later? What should I do????

I called Experian to remove an old address, she tells me she cant, that its being reported as my addresss from a collection agency, Oxford Management, and I need to contact them and they need to then forward the information of that not being my address, then they will remove it, has any one ever heard of this???

How do I handle this? My van was repossed in Sept 2004, the balance owed was $4500, they call and tell me in Nov they will settle for $1800 right then, I can't afford to pay that all at once. I had the van for 3 years(they were charging me 27% interest). I basically have not heard from them since then, they called today, they want their Money and I dont have it to give, They say they can only offer me the $1800 settlement if its paid within 2 months, otherwise they can't offer me the settlement and I must pay them the full balance. Any suggestions?

Hi there- I have a few judgements, but some never showed up on my credit reports, is there a website for checking to see if these were actually recorded? I am in western NY. Thanks

I have a Bon Ton card that was last paid on in 1993, I went thru a Chapter13 in 96, they were included, but I dismissed before they were paid. Today I get a letter from Crediters Interchange saying I must pay the $200 balance, I'm in New York, am I still liable? What do I tell them? THanks

I just lost my home, it was an FHA. I talked to the "FHA people" and I was told that they pay the loan off and I just walk away. I was also told that I can get another FHA mortgage in 3 years from forclosure date, if I have perfect credit from that time on. Hope this helps

the judgement is from a car accident in which my insurance was lapsed and the other drivers insurance paid for his wreckage, the judgement is from a well known car insurance company. Its only being reported on one credit report, never appeared on the other 2 reports since it was filed.

my 1st BK was from 96 and isn't on any reports, but it comes up when they do their search, when will it not show on their search of my history(if that makes sense to you, LOL)?

I have TERRIBLE credit right now, 2 dismissed 13's, a repo and a foreclosure. I am working on my rebuilding now, but I do need a reliable car, so I got a loan thru Credit Acceptance at 28%, with the thinking that after a year of working on my credit I could refinance, what time frame and how much cleaning up am I realistically looking at before I can get a resonable intrest rate?
