Just curious considering applying for a JC Penney card. I know that there are many thoughts about this, but do you think that there is a better chance at approval if I apply in store vs online? Just curious what your thoughts are. Thanks in advance.

The lender. Just heard back and approved!!! So super excited - first new car in many years after so many challenges. Will post details later in approvals, but I can tell you that it is thanks to you guys on this board (especially Marv) and of course, the super hard working dealership!

To all of thse out there that have been through this process - I applied for an auto loan at a dealership and they worked through most of the credit issues I believe (finegrs crossed). They just called me to confirm my identity due to a fraud alert on my credit. Does any one know what step in the process this is? Does that mean that things are moving in the right direction? I can't imagine them calling if they weren't thinking of approving it. I know that we can't predict what they are thinking but just wanted to see if anyone knew. Thanks in advance.

Does any one know of a dealer in IL that might use them? I know that they are really subprime, but I am out of options and need a car for work. I know that I have to pay for my past issues, but I am on the right track now. I really don't want to use RighWay or Byrider. Thanks in advance.

I had a checking account with US Bank. My soon to be ex-husband wrote me a check which represented the balance due to me for an account that we had together. The check came back as a closed account. US Bank closed my account within days. I certainly can't blame them for that. I tried to collect the money from my soon to be ex with no response. When I tried to contact US Bank to set up a repayment plan, I was told that they assigned the account to American Account & Advisors and that I should wait to hear from them to set up an arrangement since I couldn't pay the entire amount all at once. Never heard from them, but received a phone call from a Malacko Law Office. I called them back to try to make payment arrangements and was told that they wanted the entire balance within 2 days. I explained to them what happened and that I couldn't pay the balance back all at one. The man became angry and told me that if I didn't come up with the money within 2 days, he would refer it to another attorney for suit (completely understandable) and contact the district attorney and have me arrested since I commitmed fraud. Can I really be arrested since I didn't know that the check was bad? I'm so worried. I know that I owe them money and I am willing to pay, but I never commited a crime. I don't want to file a complaint against the attorney if I am in the wrong. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I would love to know if they are also offering this in the midwest area.

I am currently looking at a new 2010 Toyota Corolla and a new 2011. At this point, do lenders look at the 2010 as new or do they consider it used since the new models are out? In other words, if both cars are priced the exact same amount with the exact same features, do they give greater value to the newer model? Looking at getting financed through Toyota. Thanks in advance.

My wife has the second car. I just found out that the open auto loan is only reporting on 1 bureau.
