  1. Navy will forgive. You must pay in full and build back the relationship. I don't think things will turn out to well once that BBB dispute goes through though. Try and stop it if you can.
  2. Maybe you didn't. You didn't get declined automatically right? It will just go to committee and probably will be approved. Think positive. Good luck I'm pretty sure it will get approved. I just thought I could get an increase for the modest amount without the hard. I should have asked for more to make it worthwhle. I guess I just needed a credit junkie fix. Nothing like hitting the button and being instantly approved.
  3. Damn. You guys got me riled up so i decided to give it a try. Tried an increase of 2,300, from 12,700 to 15,000. 3-5 days. Wasted a pull..Noooooooooo!
  4. I just did mine this month online. I'm at $5,000 now, up from my starting limit of $2,000. It was a softpull on EXP. I've had the card for almost a year and now and alwats PIF.
  5. I apped for the Citi Plat Select card and was approved for $1200. I wanted to take advatage of the 21 month 0% APR balance transfer but I need at least $5000. The rep I spoke to said I could request an increase upon activating the card. I would only be using this card for the BT and nothing else. Should I just call them and cancel the delivery of the card, or wait until I receive it and ask for an increase. If I can avoid it, I don't want this account to report and show as closed if I decline after activating the card. I think I just wasted an EQ pull.
  6. Dar77 what are your scores like? I apped online and it was an instant approval. I should have asked for an increase when I called to activate it. I hope you will be able to transfer over your miles when you eventually get the card. Good luck.
  7. Hello, just wanted to share a couple of CC approvals I've recently acquired. I now have a Chase MileagePlus Explorer Signature card and a Nordstrom Signature card. The Chase has a limit of 5,700 and the Nordstrom a generous 10,000. They both pulled a clean EQ and my USAA Fako score at the time was 737. I did not have any other inqs within 6 months.
  8. Instead of changing the nRewards, you should have just applied for the CashRewards on the same pull and let them age together.
  9. Danjor, looks like you were an anomaly. Congratulations Carl. I applied for the NavChek a month later. Like I said, they required proof of income and it is a different department from CC's so you will get another pull. "Review in process" is your friend.
  10. I was approved as soon as direct deposit was established. I had to provide proof of income when I applied for NavCheck. Once they receive proof of income, they should let you know in a day or two. It sounds like you are good to go once you do what is required.
  11. Navy Federal gave me the same options as you. I opted to go the direct deposit route and was approved for a CashRewards Visa as soon as direct deposit was confirmed. I signed up for 100% deposit. I should have asked them how much was necessary.
  12. Do you have a Chase card? Did you request an increase? No I only have a NFCU card from 2 months ago. I have never had any other cards.
  13. Thank you for the replies. I haven't applied for anything with any of those institutions either. Just noticed that it says National Credit Card Cos. under business type. The only credit card I applied for in the last 5 years was for NFCU 2 months ago.
  14. I have a hard inquiry from First USA Bank dated August 27 2009. I have never heard of this bank and I did not apply for any banking or credit during that time. Anyone else have this problem?
