I defaulted and got a judgment against me in 1999. Paid it off months later as "settled in full".

Now, I'd like to enroll and am thinking of applying for a loan but how will it look if I already defaulted before? Won't they ask this on the application? Will it affect the rate?

If it matters, my FICO is 675 with one baddie.
