I have a charge off from First Premier, opened in 11/2009, charged off 2010, paid in 2011. TU and EX are reporting no lates and it is a paid charge off. However, EQ is reporting that it was 60 days late 12/09, 90days 1/10 and 120days 2/10. I called First Premier last Thursday and spoke with a collection specialist who stated that the charge off was the only thing they reported to the bureaus. No lates. I let her know the situation and that EQ was reporting lates. She said all the bureaus should have the same information.

My question is this...should I dispute the validity of the lates with Equifax? Is it hurting my score by having the major derogs as well as the paid charge off?

Not sure how to proceed....

Thank you all for your wealth of advice!

Update- I just looked at my EQ report thru the back door. My FP account was updated. They removed the 60 and 90 day lates but left the 120 day late. I do understand it's a CO, but the other bureaus aren't reporting the lates.

Do I just need to leave it alone?

Did you see an increase in your Fako's after they took off some of the lates? Jus wondering.

If I were you I would still pursue it and dispute it. Even to the extent of tryig to get the negative TL off your report altogether.
