Citibank goodwill success

I had a 30 and 60 day on my student loans with Citibank from 12-07 & 1-08, not sure if it's actually even hurting my scores but I sent in a goodwill request and they responded they issued an update to all 3 CRA's to remove the lates and apologized to me for any inconvenience. I was just honest and told them I was sick in December and in the hospital in January having surgery and totally forgot about the loan payments but that I had never been late before and never been late again and they agreed to delete.
