So our business is building a better and better file every week, thanks mostly to the info I've found here on CB!!

A few weeks ago we purchased a TRUCK through Ford!!! Next, I wanted to try for the Keybank Card... the owner will sign the PG.

So, for those of you who have applied/been approved for the Keybank Biz CC, let me know what you think about this:

Email, 8/30/10, To; My contact @ Key Bank

Hey Ms. Banker Lady,

I work with XXXXX, I'm the person who helped you out in our office that day you stopped by.

We are interested in applying for a business LOC or credit card, anything that pulls the DUNS and doesn't report to personal credit. I saw something about it on the KeyBank website, and was hoping you might be able to help us with it.

XXXX (the owner) will sign the personal guarantee. Is there a chance you could email us the application? If needed, I will have (owner) stop by in person.

Anything you can do to help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

ME

Does that look right? Do they really need all of that personal info from the owner when it's not even going to report to personal? The owner has a PLOC with them, so my concern is that she would have PP to pull personal and would do so to try and sell us another personal-reporting card. Also, she didn't ask for the DUNS #.

Maybe I need to find a new KeyBank contact.

On a side note, I couldn't help but chuckle when I read the second line of her reply email... "I can defiantly help you and (the owner) out with this." That typo is just a tad ironic....

Unfortunately yes, This is a PG Account now and you will have to submit personal information. In the past if the business credit was good enough they did not pull personal but now that its Elan its a different set of rules so they can require all the personal information that they are asking for.

KeyBank used to be real sweet too

Just got approved for Key Bank Business CC with no business credit at all. They pulled both but made a decision based on my PC. Started me with 15k which is 5k more than chase give me on their business card. I still think Key Bank is a good bank and happy that their cards are underwritten by Elan (US BANK) now.

I called this morning and was not asked most of those questions. First question was... what is your business tax id - followed by company name.

Once I gave him that information this is what he asked for:

biz type

biz address

telephone

then he asked... are you the owner?

Spell your name

home address

phone number

social security

date of birth

income

Thats it. After he took all of the information I was told to call back next week for a decision. He gave an 800#

My application was not approved according to the 800#. I called 800.364.9648. It asked for my SSN and 5 digit zip for the business.

I wonder if its because I have a freeze on my credit report. HAHA. ( shrugs) I did get approve for BP Mastercard ( which helps a lot)..but only after undergoing their fraud review (faxing proof existence.) I'm just waiting on AMEX Plat to decide....my seven days is up tomorrow.
