AT&T Long Distance

I just got a call from AT&T saying that they use Worldcom to provide long distance and I will be getting a 20% rate increase. I recently locked in my rate for 1 year with ATT. They are wanting me to do a new lock in rate. They said there is no way to avoid the rate increase. After ATT screwed me on the yellow pages I am very thin skinned with them. Any idea if this is legit?

MCI Worldcom? Aren't they arguing? I would check in to that. Last I saw they were clashing...not doing business together.

Yes the caller was claiming to be from ATT he said ATT long distant was provided by Worldcom and from here forward I will get a seperate bill from Worldcom and ATT. Worldcom will be at a 20% increase. How can ATT hold me to a contract but weisel out of this one?

This could be a way for you to get out of the contract also.

I was saying they held my feet to the fire on the yellow page contract but want to get out of this one.
