Can you "negotiate" with lawyer?

So I have been working with BofA to get my repayment plan started. The girl I have been dealing with has literally "fallen off the face of the earth" (not surprisinbly). So I'm now working with the lawyer handling the foreclosure to to a total reinstatement of my loan. They are very cooperative and are sending my updated reinstatement figures. My question is: Can I "negotiate" any of these costs,such as and legal fees,etc? Or am I locked into whatever the reinstatement fees are? Or once the foreclosure is completed stopped,can I contest any of these ridiculous legal fees? Thanks everyone!
