I have posted previously about my private student loan debt I have. The CA called today wanting me to pay them about 80% of my monthly paycheck in April. There is no way I can do this without not paying my other payments.

The CA stated I have refused to pay even though I told them I would send in something this week.

He stated that they have to report to the original company and let them know what I say and it's up to them on how to proceed. He again started saying that they would garnish my wages and put a chain on my house. I told him I live in Texas and then he didn't go that way again.

What else am I to do? I put all I can towards this Private SL. I understand they have a job, but when they start asking me to the majority of my monthly paycheck and default on other bills...I just dont' know.

TIA.

Do I just do that with one of those mini tape recorders?

Do I notify them I am recording?

One of the other things he wanted me to do was not pay my other bills (credit cards) to pay that debt.
