Using prepaid debit cards

I'm a national TV producer looking to interview people who have recently turned to using general purpose pre-paid debit cards in this economy. What prompted you to turn to them? (Were you stuck and couldn't get a line of credit, lost your card, or couldn't maintain the necessary balance requested by a bank?) How have they worked out for you? What did you use them for? I can say that prepaid debit cards can really help people control your spending. It allows users to spend only the amount deposited in your account.. This is a good way to avoid overspending..
