Does countrywide owe ME anything???

I, like many others, got that paper in the mail for special help on my pending foreclosure, and it had many options...One said that Countrywide would not pursue late charges and penalties...

I sold my home in January, and they took late charges and penalties.

Is there anyway I can recover some of this money? they took almost 9K from me on a sale of 88K! Is there anyone specific I could call or a letter I could write? I would have been better off to let it go to foreclosure if I knew they weren't going to hold their end.
