Greetings all!

I am considering going back to school for an advanced degree in 2009. I have never had a student loan, and although I realize most of this forum is dedicated to credit repair, but I am sure you have a wealth of knowledge about the best loan choices. I am interested in researching some choices before enrollment time.

Any links to web sites which will show me what choices I have available, the scores I need, etc?

First place you should be looking at is your schools financial aid website.

Fill out your FAFSA first and find out what federal aid you qualify for.

Thanks. I am considering a wide range of universities across the USA, and part of the choice is determined by the cost of each. So you're saying there is no way to answer this question except by looking up each and every universities grad program?

Then you might want to read this link...http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/studentloans.jsp?tab=funding

Also read up on Grad Plus Loans.

When selecting a school look for one that offers graduate assistantships, grants, and scholarships with loans.

If the school states something like "limited grants//scholarships", their financial aid award may be mostly loan based.

Good luck!

Most of my choices are going to be large state institutions with hundreds of degree programs, 30,000-50,000 total students, so I am guessing most of them are going to have all of those choices available.
