My student loan was rehabilitated last October 2007 & it's showing correctly on TU & EX, but EQ is still showing it as defaulted. What's the best way to handle that? Dispute with the EQ or contact Dept of Ed (they have the loan)?

Also, TU is showing that I have double the debt that I actually do, for some reason my student loan is still showing with the original creditor AND with the Dept of Ed. Do I contact the original creditor or TU?

Thanks!

I am going through the same thing. I think we are supposed to send the CRAs a written dispute. I kinda went the lazy route and disputed online (still pending) as "account was never late". If I remember, I'll come back to this thread and update with the investigation results.

A week before I disputed the lates online, I did fax my SL people and asked them to update the TLs on their end. Its been about a week and a half and I haven't heard back from their end. I have my fingers crossed this will work!

If it works for me, maybe you can try what I did. At any rate, goodluck to you!
