- The above is reflected on my present credit report and is two entries for a singular loan.

- I had rehabilitated my student loans approx 2.5 years ago and it was my understanding that the not only would the credit agencies remove the default status, but also remove the collection account associated with the original loan. I am uncertain this morning as to which of the above (Nelnet LNS) or (Education Fin Services) represents the Original Lender. I will research tomorrow.

- ?: Am I correct in my understanding that the collection account (one of the above) was to be removed upon rehabilitation?

- ? Am I correct in my assumption that all key derogatory information such as KD and lates were to be removed for the Original Lendor?

- ? I am a NY state resident and it is my understanding that CO and KD's are to be removed 5 years from original infarction...is this true?

- ? What can be done to fix this? Should I hire a credit repair attorney? Can this be "fixed" LOL

I thank you all much for your time and consideration!!

Very lastly and on an unrelated note: At the time I defaulted on my student loans I also had a few accounts go to debt collectors. I have since satisfied these debts also, but they are showing paid, but derogatory on my credit report. Do I have any mode of remediation for these?

I only ask as I have not incurred so much as a late payment in 4 years and my credit has been slow to repair with a lower debt load.

Thank you again for your time and consideration.

Only the holding guarantor is required to remove their negative information. This the original lender or servicer remains as negative.

Nope. It is 7 years from the date of default or the claim paid date that the negative information will age off.

No. Only time will heal.
