I have several different errors on multiple credit reports... frustrating.

I used to have 6 loans, consolidated them into 2 loans last year.

In 10 years I had ONE 60 day late payment in 2002 which shows on 4 of the 6 loans. (wasn't even a payment, it was deferment papers filed 60 days late, which were supposed to be post-dated)

On one credit report it shows I have 10 loans total (several repeated) with 2 repeats having the 60 day late payment.

Another shows the ones paid off still in negative standing because of that one 60 day in 2002, even though they are currently paid in full.

I'm disgusted with how inconsistent these reports are.

What is the most effective way to get these corrected? Contact AES?

Late filing of deferments is still a late payment. For credit reporting purposes, they are new made retro.

Same account numbers?

Even though you are paid off, you still had a 60 day late which is your final status. The lates dont away just becuse the account is paid off.
