Ok, I have a question. I was told by a doctor's office that I owed them a copay, but my health insurance told me it was a mistake. The insurance company said "we'll take care of it". This was for a doctor's visit in April 2007.

Today I received a phone call from the collections agency that told me that the $25 went to collections.

How can I get this off of my record? I am willing to pay the $25, but how do I get the doctor's office to remove it from collections? Do they HAVE to remove it if I pay? If I pay and they don't remove it, what is my recourse?

Thanks
