Hi, I'm a newbie and have been reading feverishly for the past few weeks. I am so glad I have found this forum, you guys rock! I need some advise on how to proceed.

I pulled my credit reports and found a CA is reporting that I owe $86 to a dentist from 4/05. I don't remember receiving a bill. I did see this dentist and I do remember that they were suppose to bill me. This bill might have slipped through the cracks. I phoned the dentist this morning and they told me that I would have to talk to the CA, but they have to call back and provide me the number.

What should I do now? Is it still possible to have this baddy removed from my CR? Should I try PFD?

Please help.

First, stay off the phone, nothing good comes from that!

Since it's reporting on your credit report, you'll need to do a couple of things:

Opt out

Delete old addresses

Then send medical dispute letter(below) to the CRA's reporting this account. Wait for the results.
