Multiple Tradelines

I have 7 student loans.

 

One is approx $1700 that I consolidated

 

The rest are in rehab process that I started last month.

 

However, my Eq, Ex, and TU report 15, 11, and 8 installment loans.

 

Don't they have to delete duplicates? How exactly does that work.

The loans have changed hands many times. Some are reported as many as 3 seperate times.

The loans have changed hands many times. Some are reported as many as 3 seperate times. Each servicer or owner of the loans has the right to report for the period that they owned the loans, so it is quite possible to have multiple reports for each seperate loan.

But do they have to close the old one or include the full history from the beginning of the loan - I am dying to know the answer...
