I have been reading a lot of post by Sabaath and some others and you guys sound really experienced in the online trading field. I had a few hundred dollars I wanted to try my hand with some trading.

Before doing this I would like to know are their some print resources that you all can recommend for a novice.

Thanx in advance :D

Forget trading induvidual stocks until you know have an indepth knowledge of how the market works. For now open up a Roth IRA with one the major fund shops. TRowe Price will let you open one with as litttle as $1,000 or $50 per month. Pick a balanced fund such as PRWCX, S&P500 index, or a target date retirment fund.

The book "A Random Walk Down Wall Street" is considered a must read by many on this board, I think. Actually there have been a few threads on trading books, Maybe a fast search would answer your question.

With a few hundred dollars, it will be very difficult to make any sort of profit trading. It can be very difficult to make a profit trading either way, but with a small amount of money commissions will really dig in to any gains you might have.

A Random Walk Down Wall Street is indeed a good book. There are tons of books about markets of course, but that one in particular is a worthy read.
