I have several defaulted SL(s) from 1995-1997 that I really would just like to pay back. I have spent numerous hours writing letters and e-mails to whoever I could find to tell me where to start. My university was holding one of the the loans (Federal Perkins Loan) that I went ahead and paid back in full.

I sent the Dept of Education detailed paperwork about my situation documenting my financial history, tax returns, etc . . . . explaining that I just wanted to begin paying back the loans. I still have received no correspondence from them.

Several weeks ago I received a letter from Premiere Credit, LLC that stated they were handling the account. I have been working on this for months - with very little assistance. Can you advise a place to go for help. I really just want someone to work with me who isn't rude!

Please help.

If you read this forum you will discover that you have to call on student loans. They are not going to respond to corresondance. Since you know a CA is holding the loan, you must call them.
