I just want to rant and say how upset i am about them. They offer me a grant and then a month before school starts, they go, lets ask for income verification. Well gee, why didn't you ask for that months ago when I had time to send it and you take your months to process it and let me get my money. Instead, they wait till just when school starts and then my grant money might get delayed because of them. I also want to say i already verified with my and my parents w-2s to the school which is part of PHEAA. So why the hell would i have to do it again when i did it two months ago. Did they change since then till now? God, there a pain in the a$$!!!!!! :P Not like im hiding anything but damn, cant you ask earlier, not when school starts and when you have to pay tuition u dumb .

If you are talking about grant money or free money you should not complain, as it is free. You will probably have to jump through many hoops if you pursue such options. But hey, their is a lot of free money out there, with very few people even applying to some governmental programs. I heard a story about the government offering 2 full-four-year-paid scholarships for farming, and guess how many people applied? Only 2. From what I understand it takes 2 things, applying and patience. Of course, a bit of luck helps too. Anyways, I digress. I would fax over your info, and call them everyday and talk to different people as others might be more helpful with your unability to start school without such funds. Best of luck.

I'm sorry you're having to jump through hoops.

It seems every year since I've been declared an independant student (as well as my freshman year) I have had the luck of the "draw" on the random verification process. :dntknw: But my school doesn't issue an awards package until you complete it.
