Medical Bill Dilemma

Greetings fellow CB members,

I'm in the process of cleaning up my credit and came across this site AFTER I started the "not mine" process.

Now I need a few answers to my questions.

 

Issue 1: I contacted the CB's to have my old addresses deleted. They told me they could not delete them because they are tied to current accounts on my credit report.

What is the lingo I should use to have the addresses deleted?

 

Issue 2: I have a medical bill reporting to TU as in collections that's under $100 and I'm willing to pay it. I contacted the OC to get the account number and other information for the HIPPA letter. However they gave me a PO BOX for remittance. This is actually a Hospital Bill.

How do I get the letter CRRR if its a PO BOX? and do I still need to send lettter to the CA before sending the letter and payment to the OC, although I have all the information needed for disputing?

 

Issue 3: I had my dad add me on his Discover as an AU last month, however it's not showing on any of my reports

Does anyone know how long it takes to report and if Discover reports at all? My dad and I reside in different states, if that makes a difference?

The only problem I have had with addresses has been with EX, do a search for "removing addresses" and you should get many answers to your questions. Different things have worked for different people. Here's a link that may be of help to you. You may also want to opt out as well.

Once you do the above, you should send a medical dispute letter to the CRA(consumer reporting agency) FIRST. The reason for this is it weeds out any CA that has reported your account without any real assignment or authorization from the OC.

Second, it weeds out accounts that were written off, or discounted by the OC and are not valid.

Third, if the account is verified, it gives you the data you need to pay the OC with the HIPAA letter.

Once you get the information requested then you can send the HIPAA letter insert"a" to the OC, do not have any contact with the CA whatsoever.
