I have multiple paid medical collection accounts. I have been working on paying them and did not know about pay for deletion until I found this site. Anyway the story is I am medical school now and the CA are keeping me from qualifying for some private loans for school. Do I contact the original creditor and ask them if they would remove it "generosity" or contact the CA and ask for validation on a paid account.

My wife has been trying to improve our credit for 3 yrs on our own, and now all are paid, and reported paid. In fact the last reply from equifax was "the creditor is currently reporting a zero balance on this account" and "Adverse accouts that have been paid in full will automaticlly be deleted seven years from the date of the last activity." I am currently waiting for response for opting out and old address deltion from CRA.

Thank you for the help
