Where did the balance go?

My husband has a low student loan balance, around $4K last I saw.. he hasn't paid on this in forever, because of loss of a job. He was maxed out on his forebarances so it just went without getting paid for about a year. It is with SunTech in Mississippi I believe, just trying to see what he needs to do. As I went online to pay it through their website, and it shows $0 owing. I don't understand? Could it be in default and we not know because we live in a different state? What should he do about this?

If he hasnt paid for a year, it has more than likely defaulted. It only takes 270 days. Did you move and not notify them of a change of address???

 

Call Sun Tech...they will tell you where it went.
