Hello everyone

Forgive me for asking for clarification! We have talked to a broker and a lender and were told about various mortgage options including stated. This is very important to our family as wanting a home has become a need.

I have the letter to TranUnion ready to go out Tuesday but we’re confused. On Experian we have 1-30 day late with Beneficial. We sent the goodwill and they declined and on the report it says verified and updated on July of 2004. I read on this forum that since it was back in 2000 the risk of lowering the score is almost impossible but you risk a delete if you try disputing with the CA. With nothing to lose, I will try another goodwill with Beneficial and otherwise if they still decline, let it remain.

Question: Does this still hold true?

On Experian, the biggest question though is should these other accounts we filled bankruptcy on be saying Filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy on July 12, 2004; petition for chapter 7 bankruptcy. I thought they were to say Included in Bankruptcy.

On Equifax, which way should we dispute first in order of importance since you can’t do both at same time – regular dispute or medical disputes?

We have the former address that is mother in law's – never resided there my husband and the three inquiries that should be deleted.

Medical Collections – one paid and one saying unpaid but it was included in bankruptcy

Which will have the most impact on scores!

We understand that stated might be the best route since my husband is self-employed for the time being, but we also understand that FHA is an option but if we can get scores in I think it was 620 all things are possible.

Please help one more time to get unconfused on what’s left!
