What a mess sl's make of your CR.

I have 7 student loans from citibank that report as paid collection. Doesn't give a date of last payment. Under payment history it has CO for Oct. 2000 and no lates reported. If it is a paid collection how can it be a CO? I dont remember ever being late before Oct 2000.

I have 9 student loans from USA funds reporting as paid collection and date of last payment 7/2002. 6 of these student loans dont have any payment history listed. 3 have payment history. they show 2/2002 120 days late, 3/2002 120 days late, 4/2002 120 days late, 5/2002 120 days late, 6/2002 120 days late.

No defaulted as far as I know. I know I have never been in a rehab program.

I consolidated 7/2002 with Direct loans.

I have 2 Direct Loans listed.

1. Reported as TOO NEW TO RATE, Date opened 11/1995, date of last activity 6/2002. Also

lates under payment history listed.

2. Reported as pays as agreed, date opened 7/2002. lates under payment history.

( this is the consolidated loan.)

My Main concern with all of these student loans is they really make my credit report look bad. Is there any way that I can clean them up?

I almost think I would of been better in a rehab program.

With USA Funds reporting, that tells me that you were in default. USA Funds is the loan guarantor...looks like they paid a claim to citibank.

while I was in school I started getting student loans from citibank then the school would only accept applications from USA funds. thats why I have 7 citibank and 9 usa funds. I know that when I went to Direct loans/U.S. Dept of ecucation is when my loans where consolidated. If I defaulted it was on the USA Fund loans.

I'm curently paying Direct loans. Not sure why direct loans have both their entries.

Direct loans has already made one mistake and charged me double. I realized this mistake when it happened and had it corrected. It seems though they didnt correct the entry on the credit report because it has high credit still showing double of what it should of been. This is ok because its my only open line of credit and it makes my utilization look better.

What I really need to know is if there is anyway to get these off your credit report?

If other credit is only allowed to stay on your credit report for 7 yrs + 180 days from your last payment why are student loans allowed to stay longer. From what I have read they are allowed to stay on your report 7 years from default. This is what 8 months later.

It looks like your really punished for making mistakes on your student loans because they put in so many entries. You know you cant ever be forgiven for the dept because you cant file it in BK.

This is so frustrating. Most my baddies will fall off my credit report in 2 years except these student loans.
