Good consolidation Companies

My business partner has 3 loans through Sallie Mae. 1 is federal. The rates are all pretty high (8.75, 6.8 & 13). All payments made on time, etc. They have not been interested in offering any type of consolidation.

 

Is there a company out there that will offer a good consolidation program with decent rate? What kind of rates are typical right now?

Federal guidelines state that if you only have one lender, you can only consolidate with that lender.

You also cannot consolidate federal loans with private loans. Since that leaves you with 1 federal loan, you aren't eligible to consolidate it. You can possibly find someone to consolidate the two private loans, but I don't know if you can expect any interest rate savings.

Really? I suppose it makes sense that you could, so you could still get a fixed interest rate instead of variable, I was just under the impression you couldn't. Thanks for the correction!
