First a great big THANK YOU to CB! I've been reading for hours everyday and have started the journey of cleaning up our CR's.

 

However I am STUCK on some medical collections listed from Van Ru. There are a total of 6 on SO's report (total is under $1000). I really don't know what they are for - my gut feeling is that they are his ex's.

 

Here is how they are reporting:

 

Van Ru Credit Corp

Date Opened: xx/xxxx

Reported Since: xx/xxxx

Date of Status: xx/xxxx

Last Reported: xx/xxxx

Type: Installment (what????) violation???

 

EX show they are to drop off 07/2006

 

I don't want to "rock the boat" since they are to drop off in less than a year but we need them off as we are going for a home equity loan this fall.

 

Additionally, I'm fairly sure the services were performed in 97/98 not in 99 like is being reported.

 

Any advice on what the best move would be for me?
