Anyone heard of (ca) E Partner Net in Utah?

TU is showing "E Partner Net" in Provo,Utah as a collection for $1500. Has anyone every heard or dealt with them? I've done a google search with no luck and I didn't want to call them. I have never received anything from them. Would it be too late to sen a DV since it was place for collection on my CR in 2001?

 

Shows original creditor as Icon Health Fitness with medical beside that. I'm trying to see if they are licensed in NC and UT but can't seemed to find anything.

 

I have already disputed with TU as "not mine" and it came back verified. Called TU and asked how they verified it and the guy said electronically.

Utah license check:

 

Utah Division of Occupational and Professional licenses search finds nothing resembling their business name. Searched for "check" and "partner" seperately.

 

I'd be willing to bet they aren't licensed in whatever state you're in either.

NC maintains an online PDF file of licensed agencies. They aren't licensed.

I looked to see if they were licensed in North Carolina under all 5 DBA names and didn't find any. I'm mailing out a DV letter today.

 

 

Since it is listed as medical, are they governed by different regulations then if it wasn't listed as medical?

I never even thought to do that! I checked the BBB once for a CA and they had next to no info so I assumed that was the case for most businesses.

I have searched for about 6 and although non of them have been BBB members they are listed.

 

I guess it depends if they have any complaints against them or not - if they aren't a member and there are no complaints I can't see any reason they'd be on there.

 

Where do you do your searching if you don't mind me asking ?

The collection is void if they are not bond and registered in Utah.

I have always lived in North Carolina and the original creditor and the collection agency both reside in Utah. According to North Carolina General Statutes, they have to be bonded ($20,000 non-resident) and have a permit. Checknet doesn't have a permit and is not bonded in the State of NC. I even went as far as to look at every agency to see if they were from Utah.

 

I searched in the State of Utah and didn't find a license or permit for the name of any businesses or the employees name that were listed on the BBB.

 

 

I think I might have these little boogers by the nose! ;-)

I'm in NC too and I'm wondering if you had any luck getting them removed from your reports since they are not licensed & bonded here.
