I disputed 6 student loan accounts as being paid and EX deleted them. They said they verified in 4 days. They are liars. In addition to these 6 loans, I had 2 other loans with KHEA. As a result of my disputing (paid in full) the KHEA loans, my credit score increased 57 points. The deletion of these 6 accounts caused my EX score to drop 10 points. Should I ask the student loan lender to put the accounts back on the EX credit report, although they will mark them as consolidated with a "0" balance? Or do you think the condolidation comment will decrease my score although the balance will be "0"? Please help. I plan to apply for a mortgage this coming Saturday.

This is a risk you take when you dispute something as "never late" or "paid in full" ... it's very well documented throughout the credit forum. There's really nothing you can do at this point. A simple letter from the lender stating that the loans had been PIF would have sufficed for the purposes of applying for a mortgage.

Just out of curiosity, why would you dispute the loans as PIF? Were they showing negative info or very large balances?

The damage is done, unfortunately. There's no way you could be sure those loans would be reported even if you COULD get them to that fast. AND the CRAs bear a certain responsibility for not reinserting deleted TLs.

Was the 10 pt drop on PG/MCK/etc or on MyFico? Did that drop you below some important mortgage threshold?
