AMEX Platinum Doesn't Limit a CR or Show up on CR?
Idontliketheyankees replied to a topic in Credit Forum
Hi Schrute, From what I have seen and read, usually there is no limit that is reported on any charge card on your credit report. However, it will show the highest balance you have had. -
Hi guys, I'm somewhat new and looking for advice.

bumping again, so what do you guys think of my plan for December, do you think I would have a reasonable shot if I apply? -

Repairer- I hope I am one of the few that can get a charge card and a Chase while in school...lol. Bad- I've heard a lot of people signing up for Penfed. But on every board I visit and see a topic abut Penfed, I keep hearing that they pull your credit to have a checking account with them, as well as if you apply for a card through them, there are reams of paperwork in order to get approved and so on. Those are the only thing's that are holding me for signing up from Penfed. Sparky- Thank you my friend! I hope to learn from the best here. I have learned many things about credit here and read many stories (I've lurked on this board for the last week) and other forums and am very glad to become a member here. Thank you for welcoming me in. -

Hi Bob, Yes those are my real Fico scores. My Equifax and Transunion scores were as of last Thursday (11/8/2012), and I purchased them off of the myfico.com website (the 19.95 that you pay each to get your scores.) And my Experian score is from when I applied for my Citi Card and had to call in for them to approve me, and I asked what bureau they pulled and what my score was. That is what she told me, however, I applied for the card on October 27th. I applied for my Discover card the same day, but apparently they made the inquiry on the 29th on Transunion (strangely they have my highest score) and I still got approved. These scores are as of Last Thursday, but I am pretty sure my Experian has changed a little bit since then. I'd love to have the U.S. Bank card, however, I have heard it is a Visa Signature card, and I simply don't think I have the income yet or the history to be able to be approved for one. The other reason why I would like to get an Amex Charge card is because I have they are easier to be approved for then their revolvers and thus that is why I would like to try for one as well as the Chase Freedom. My dream cards are the CSP, AMEX BCE, or BCP, or the U.S. Bank Cash+ card. -

Hello CB members! I joined recently and am excited to become a member of CB. A little History: I'm originally from California, and I have spent pretty much my whole life here. I currently live in the Northern part of Los Angeles near the beginning of the Central Valley. I currently go to a local community college for now, and I hope to become a Highway Patrol Officer (once they start hiring again, but idk when that will be.) I currently have 2 part time jobs, one working as server/cashier/host, and another job inputting payroll and sales for a McDonald's Franchisee. I joined the website on the recommendation from a friend of mine on another credit board and I hope to learn much from this website and from the people here on this forum. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. I recently began my credit history in April of this year with a card from my local BOFA, a Cash rewards card. I was fortunate enough to receive a 700$ limit for my first card. I use this card to just pay for gas and an occasional Starbucks and pay cash for everything else. I recently applied for a Citi Forward and Discover More card and I got approved for both cards with a 1.5k limit each. I am a student as well, and my income right now is about 12,000 right now (it's more like 11,672 combined (not gross) or something like that from both jobs, but I rounded it up a little bit) My current scores are as followed as of 11/8/2012: Equifax: 729 Experian: 738 Transunion:742 My goals are to get approved for an Amex Gold or Chase Freedom card in December after my statement cuts. I plan to leave a small balance on my Discover card and then pay it off the following week day. I also would like to have the Blue Cash Everyday card, but I realize that it is out of my league right now, so most likely I will wait until next year to go for one. If I do not get approved for either one of the cards I plan to just garden for a year and then try again and see what happens. I have no issue with the annual fees either, and I would use the Amex card for 1.) Backdating. 2.) There's no Interest, so I would have to pay ASAP, and it keeps my spending in check. 3.) I would use this card if I went on Vacation or on a special occasion (parent's birthday's or anniversaries, etc.) the reason why I would apply for Chase is to compete with my More card and just use it for the 5% categories. I plan to have a total of 5-6 cards and then stop applying for a while unless their is a card I really need or want. Again I'm glad to join the forum and looking forward to hear from you guys!
