Blanket Dispute Question

I have been doing some searches on this topic and I still am not real clear on the blanket dispute. From what I have read and so far understand am I correct in thinking that the blanket dispute is basically asking the CRAs to verify my baddies and doing this all in one letter?

 

If I am incorrect in this thinking can someone please explain the blanket dispute to me?

You are disputing everything at once in one letter, yes. Search for the "jack attack" thread and you will find some insight. Good luck!

Yes, as angel has said, you are " covering " all derogatory accounts with a single blanket/letter, so it is called a blanket dispute to cover everything on the first letter. Subsequent letters of dispute are more specific, based on answers and results for each item. The second dispute is smaller, and does not cover everything.

Are blanket disputes better than sending a dispute for every item individually?
