  1. There is different kinds of auto insurance for your business. If your vehicle is registered in your business name then you will pay for business insurance which has a higher premium then if the vehicle is in your personal name and it is used for business. We have 2 types of business auto insurance. One is for our local work trucks ( Dodge Ram 5500) which runs me about $225 month through State Farm for 1mil liability, full glass coverage, comp/collision, $500 deductible Our of truck insurance is for over the road trucking and that runs me around $675 month through Progressive Commercial. All depends on your policy needs and what the vehicle(s) are being used for.
  2. I posted a topic regarding an 800 number. I then ran across this company. www.onebox.com They are the same company that we have our fax numbers through (Efax). The set up & cost seems very reasonable and would also allow us to have an 800 number. Would like to get any thoughts about this.
  3. We are looking to establish a Toll Free number for our company. How do we go about obtaining one? Can we get this from our local phone provider (Cox Communications). Also is the Toll Free number going to be a separate phone line or does it just forward to your local numbers. Never had a toll free number so I want to make sure it is done right the first time and is in line for what we are looking for. Also what is the typical cost we should be looking at. Do they charge you a flat monthly fee or is there a monthly fee plus a charge for each incoming call you receive. Thanks.
  4. Does anyone know how we get set up with the CRA's to report our customers business credit history with us. We have quite a few good paying customers but also have 3 non paying clients. I really would like to stick it to them on there credit report. These are all well established businesses. I have researched them and they do show up in DNB database system. Any help is appreciated.
  5. Sears is not revolving, it is net 60, which Sears reps mistake as revolving. If your corp is >2 years old they do not require a PG, and the underwriting is basically the same as most other Citi cards. If your corp is <2 years old, they might require a PG if your business credit is not strong enough. Sears is Net 30. Do you have Net 60 Greywolf? or just a typo?
  6. Actually the Sear's Commercial One Card can only be used @ Sears. The card can't be used at any of the others Sears owned stores like Kmart, etc. I called and verified this a few months ago. Better tell KMart that, because I picked up some misc. junk there last week Maybe the girl @ Citi didn't know wtf she was talking about. Wouldn't be the first time you get incorrect info from a company.

  8. I think a few of us had an approval from Sears within 2 days. The cards can take a few weeks to arrive but your approval and ability to use the account only is a few days. You can use the account before your cards arrive in the mail.
  9. Sears is probably your best bet as they don't require a PG. They are pretty flexible on the credit limits they provide. Most of use have between $4000-7000 credit limits and you can use the account before your cards arrive in the mail.
  10. If you didn't sign a PG they can't come after you personally. However they can obtain judgements against the company, company bank accounts, etc. I would suggest sending the companies what you can when you can. Sending something is better then nothing IMO. If you show you are trying to make an effort that can go a long way. If you can't make a payment that month, week, etc call and notify them that you aren't able to provide a payment for that month. Collection agencies play hardball right off the bat as that is there job. You might be able to even set up a payment plan with them. If they refuse to do anything then just voluntarily send them money when you can.
  11. Correct me if I am wrong but the annual fee is only $75-$100 year. With todays market keeping an account open is a good thing. Also if you close your account you will loose your points. I closed our account and lost 1.2 million points. Didn't realize it until after the fact. Just a few things to look at IMO
  12. You can use your account prior to receiving your cards. If you fax in your application today you could probably call on Thursday and have the answer. If approved you can just go get your tires. When they ring you up they will have to call the credit department and they can obtain your account number and additional info to complete the transaction. I did this on my first 2 purchases before I received the cards. I called and asked if we were approved over the phone and they told us yes. Simple process.
  13. Ha, I actually hate talking on the phone. I will if I have to, though. But I'm trying to figure out if banks are still tight with the lending, or if they've eased up a bit. I thought they received bailout money? OH They got bailouts and the BIG WIGS pockets received most of it.
  14. No. We obtained Staples, Office Depot, Sears, & Tractor Supply without any Personal Guarantee.
  15. You will have to PG ANY LOC no matter what. Also if you don't have a minimum 720+ score your chances are about 0% of being approved based on todays market conditions. As the other poster mentioned try Ford business credit.
