  1. Thanks for everyone that responded! Well to bring everyone up to date I was sued by Parnell and Crum. I responded, went to court(without an attorney) and won. If you are sued by a JDB the only defense you need to present is that you never opened an account with the JDB, they will call you to the stand and hard question you, stick with your wits and you will win. Thanks everyone for your prior responses. CV
  2. If eligible go through Pentagon Federal Credit Union. I got a loan through them at 6.49% for a motorcycle. Good luck and be SAFE!!
  3. Breeze and DragonFlyer, Thanks for your response! I did receive a dunning letter from them, and the next day sent out a Validation letter CMRR. The response I received back was the one I typed on my original post. So they still do have 30 days to respond, not the 60-90 they said they needed to receive statements, correct? After the 30 days I will send another validation letter, is this logic correct. Thanks in advance. CV
  4. BUMP!! Does anyone know or help?
  5. Hi I sent a Validation Letter to PARNELL & CRUM, P.A. and this is the response I got back. RE: MCM Holdings As Assignee of Direct Merchants Mastercard File # 1021589 Dear Mr. CVINFAMOUS, THIS LETTER IS SENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT THE DEBT AND THAT ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM YOU WILL BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF COLLECTING THE DEBT FROM YOU. In response to your letter received on April 14, 2009. I have requested statements on this account. It generally takes 60-90 days to receive, as soon as I receive these I will forward them to you. In the meantime, I wanted to acknowledge your letter and also give you the pertinent dates that relate to this debt: Open Date: 5/11/2006 Last pay date: 10/02/2006 Charge off Date 03/31/2007 If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the number above. Thanks, Debt Collector Collection Department Should I send another letter or are they authorized to have me wait until they get the statements? I am wondering. I came back from Iraq a few months before that, and really do no remember opening this account!!! Thanks for your help. CV
  6. I have been in the Army for 10 years and through three deployments to Iraq, I have never had a card turned off for non-use. You should be alright! If you are concerned though call your issuer and let them know you will be going on Active Duty for a few months and there will be no use on your accounts.
