I have a court date with LVNV today, as a matter of fact. The amount they are claiming I owe is about $770.

Thanks for the advice! I also got an offer in the mail from PNC, maybe I'll check that one out... Just looked at the mail again, I got three offers from Citi today alone! I probably get at least 5 a week from them! They're persistent little buggers! LOL

Just got a new Citi card about three weeks ago. Got another offer in the mail today that is also tempting. However, since I have gotten a Citi card so recently, will they just deny me off the bat? Don't want to waste the inquiry if that's the case. Thanks!

Ah, I see. No, the agency doesn't have our debit card info, thankfully. I figured I would send them a certified check as payment. I'm too leery of giving out account info...

Also, is there a way to get them to refrain from contacting my husband at work over this?? They don't have his number or anything, but I am sure they could track it down, and I don't want him to get in trouble at work. Thanks for all your advice! I really appreciate it!

Actually, the debit card was lost, and reported as such. Does that make some sort of difference?
-
Also, the Collection Agency is Nationwide Credit, Inc. Has anyone dealt with them?

I owe $1400. I was supposed to pay 5 monthly payments, billed automatically to my debit card. I have about $300 to send to them now...

I recently bought a big-ticket item from a home shopping channel. Then I lost my job, and hubby took a pay cut, I was not able to keep up with the payments. I used their "easy monthly payment" service, not credit. I got a letter from a Collection Agency over this, I plan to get in touch and try to work out payment arrangements. In the meantime, can they come and take it back?? Just wondering...

Thought I would see if anyone here had insight before I called the Collection Agency. I am to make my 7th payment on the rehab program this month. I had a personal emergency, and might not be able to make the payment. Is any sort of extension of the agreement available, or would I have to start all over, or something like that? Any advice or info would be appreciated!

Just wondering. I make my 5th payment this month, so rehab should go through in October, I'm assuming. I'm hoping that will be in time to get me off of the tax offset list, as DH is irritated with the whole injured spouse thing at this point..LOL Thanks!

I'd like to know that, too!

Wow...it must be some sort of miracle!!! Even though we never scheduled a new payment, and our bank account info with Chase was "incorrect", they were miraculously able to take a payment out of my bank account today!!! Chase is amazing!!! /sarcasm

QVC "5 Easy Payments" on every item today

Yes, they will put you in collections, and you will not be able to order from them again. I bought a new TV from them recently, a biggun'....5 easy pays is awesome!!! -
So... which Chase card will we (ex-WAMUs) get
VampLover replied to Vinny2020's topic in Credit Forum
We still don't know what sort of card we have here. In fact, I wouldn't even have known about the switch if I hadn't read it here! We received NOTHING from them!
