Very good question posted above since I am almost in the same situation. I have 6 baddies (3 charge offs and 3 collections) all very small balances, so I could pay if it came to that. I am trying to purchase once my lease ends and I relocate with my company next second quarter next year.

No, I have not...I was planning to DV, but thanks a bunch for that tip. I will dispute with the CRA.

Hey Everyone! I’m back once again! I had a rough year taking care of an ill MIL who recently passed away and I was completing my MBA, but I just really need to get back on track. I am trying to come up with a plan to clean up my report. I have 6 baddies and I’m trying to decided how to move forward. I am also considering PFD, because the balances are pretty low. I have 2 CA reporting on old debts from 2005, so I just plan to DV. I also have 3 OC reporting recent accounts that charged off last year: 1st account - $700 on TU & EQ and $911 on EX; 2nd account - $400 – Status: ACCOUNT TRANSFERRED OR SOLD; CHARGED OFF ACCOUNT; Purchased by another lender 3rd account - $800 – Status: Charged off Account; profit and loss write off I also have a car loan that I paid off last year, but they are reporting the last 2 payments 30 days late. Those are the only late payments for the entire loan. Should I dispute this one? Any advice is appreciated as I am just trying to create an action plan.

I DV a CA and I did not receive a dunning letter, but I sent a letter stating "this letter is being sent to you in response to your recent communication." They never responded, but it was deleted a few days after I received the green card.

I feel really discouraged. I received an update from Equifax stating "verified as belonging to disputer!" Then I received an update from Experian with the name of the OC and they also stated that all other disputes concerning this debt will be ignored. How do I move forward? Have been fighting with them for the longest. Experian ( AKA "The Devil") is the WORST CRA to deal with. You should be able to get it off your Eq report pretty soon. WhyChat, Please help! I sent the Medical DV to CFC, I used the address listed on my credit report and I sent it CMRR. The letter was returned to me without a forwarding address, it said that the address was not deliverable. So, now I am not sure how to handle. I know that CFC is responsible for listing their correct address on my credit report, so I am thinking about sending the second HIPAA letter to the CRA saying that the dispute that I sent to CFC them was returned, but I want to be cautious and not make any mistakes. Can you please tell me how I should move forward in this situation? I would really appreciate this. Thank you!

Have you sent the medical DV to CFC? http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html If not, do so( one letter for each CRA they are reporting to in the same CMRR envelope, unless they have a PO box, in which case send it certified only) then send this to each CRA http://whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html#DISPUTE ( if you have sent the medical DV certified only print out the proof of receipt from the PO tracking) THANK YOU VERY MUCH, WHYCHAT! Words cannot express my gratitude! I am going to be sending the medical DV to CFC on Monday and once I receive the green card, I am going to send the follow up letter to the CRA. Thank you!
