  1. We're eligible for $2400. However, we will only get $1200 due to past due Student Loans. That's OK by me. My question is this. We filed the Injured Spouse form in February, so I assume our stimulus check will be delayed. Was anyone else in a similar situation? Can anyone tell me how long it may be delayed? We weren't counting on the money, so there's no big rush, I'm just curious. BTW, we're in the last paper check category, so ours was scheduled to go out 7/11 Thanks!
  2. Hi all! I am new here, and could use some advice. I currently have VERY much overdue Federal Student Loan. I got paperwork today that they will offset my tax refunds, etc, even though they have been doing that for two years. I would like to enter into repayment and get this cleared up. The balance is a little under $8000. I hadn't paid anything on it, honestly, I didn't even know who I should pay, since I didn't have any paperwork on the loan anymore. The paperwork I received was from the Dept of Ed, and there was a phone number to call regarding repayment options. Honestly, I'm scared to death to call them. I cannot pay in full right now, and really can't afford exorbitant monthly payments, either. Can anyone give me any advice, or tell me what I might expect when I contact them? Thanks!
