  1. Just got my spending limit removed. Not really sure why, but they informed me that it was lifted. Not sure what I will be using this spending limit for. The bill isn't that much.
  2. Just did the over-the-phone dispute with EX. Anyone know how long it takes for them to update your CR?

    Payoffs

Yeah pay them down. your score will jump most likely from the util% and you are savign a ton on interest, assuming this is not some 0% BT.
  4. This really has little to do with the debt at this point. Talk to an attorney or the AG.

    Paid CO

A paid CO should NOT update. Unless you disputed it, and they verified, making the DOLA recent. But CO should not be updating every month if it's paid, at lease AFAIK. I have heard a lot of examples of paid COs continuing to report til the bitter end, especially Cap1
  6. Says I have no messages. Might wanna try again.
  7. Went to delete old addresses with EQ and was sent to CSC. Found out that they only take address disputes through mail with a copy of your current DL. Sent the form in disputing my oldest address, the form only allows one dispute at a time. Item was removed from my CR less than a week later. Couldn't be happier about that. Did not use CMRRR either. They will provide an updated copy of my CR and letter explaining changes "30-45 days later" Just changed an old address with a CC company. Once they report the updated info for the month I will send another dispute to see if I can get that one off also. Already got all the previous ones removed from TU. Now just EX left. Info: CSC Credit Services PO Box 619054 Dallas, TX 75261-9054 Address listed on corrections form you have to create a log-in to get the dispute .pdf, which is a pain and not needed really. if you want the .pdf just PM me and I can e-mail it to ya.

    Paid CO

I have made a post about a paid CO still ebing reported and seen many others like it. It is still listed as a derogatory item on all my CRs which is where ya get the montra that a paid CO is as good as an unpaid CO. It occured to me that the date of CO and all that stays the same. It is just the reporting date that changes. So the million dollar question is wether or not the constant updating is affecting my FICO score.
  9. Someone with more experience can chime in, but I am pretty sure that only the date of last activity might change, not the date of first missed payment.
  10. Go look at the Tu did not Lie thread. You can b* something by using a daily pulling service. I wouldn't worry about b* until the whole Tu thing gets cleared up.
  11. Write the letter to the library of congress addressed to the FCRA. I suggest just calling back until you can get a supervisor or someone who is not an salamander.
  12. It's in an email, but yes. I was thinking the same thing. Even if you have to pay $5 to have them mail it or whatever I would do it. An official letter releasing you from the debt is golden in your situation. Call Cox for a hard copy, e-mails are pretty garbage for verification IMO.
  13. That is sound advice. If she has the money to settle then she might want to try the PFD route. Make clear that it is not an admission of validity of the debt, simply a payment for deletion. That way you can reserve the DV stuff as an option. The OC won't talk to you about the accounts because they can't most likelt, they have already sold the rights to collect on the debt to the CA
  14. I guess you could look for new cards to bring the balances over too. Your high util % is probably hurting your chances of new approvals though. What do your scores look like now?
  15. Congrats. I am working on mine and the GF's right now. Hers i not as bad as mine. Couple 30day marks that I hope I can get off and high utilization. So it really should be simple to take care of.
