  1. That's absolutely correct.
  2. Leisure Rewards in strictly a Debit card. Using the Visa side (asking for credit and signing for the purchase) will allow you to accumulate 4 points per dollar that you spend via your checking account. There is a $25 annual fee for the card and the first fee will be assessed on the 17th business of the following month you open the account. Therefore, if the account was opened in May 2008, the first $25 fee will be assessed 24 June 2008. The $5000 limit you saw is a daily limit. Any purchases (upon one purchase or many) over this amount will not go through unless you contact Chase at the number on the back of your card (or 800.935.9935) for a temporary or permanant increase. There are stipulations to the increases, however, I'm not sure what they are off the top of my head. I haven't been to work in two weeks and I don't usually deal with that, however, if you call a CSR they will be able to help with that.
  3. I work for Chase -- if no one has an answer, I'll try to get one by Friday since I have Wednesday and Thursday -- I'd imagine you would be able to use it again, but I'm not 100% sure.
  4. My Lord, someone who knows what they're talking about! I truly appreciate you now.
  5. I didn't have a link for the CLI, however, if you do, it'd be on the left hand side of your page when you log on and select the account name for your CC. It should also be under the 'Services' tab, as well. If you don't have it, you'll just need to call and ask for the CLI. I don't know that this would be any different as far as a hard inq being process, however.
  6. Same experience. Nine times outta ten, it's the time and/or date on your computer. At least whenever my customers call in for the regular Chase.com website. I'm assuming that's all good with you guys though, since there seems to be so many getting that error.
  7. Yeah, I have NO idea why I have so many inqs from NFCU. I just don't want to ask for them to be removed and then any of my accounts with them be removed and/or closed and mess up my CR. I have checking, savings, GoRewards, nRewards, NavChek and Auto Loan with them.. double that actually since I'm a signer with my husband, as well on all the same accounts he has. -- Even with those inqs, it's still not possible to have reached 40 inqs though.. at least I dont see how. My husband asked for a recon on his Citi card and they gave him the card.. so I thought it may be worth a try as I would love to have the miles since I travel so much. Unfortunately, I was kicked off TC awhile back when they were hitting everyone who was checking it nearly daily... as I was for the b*'s. Thanks for the advice though, I'll definitely look at the Credit Pulls section and see what I can find about GEMB and other people's success with them.
  8. Hello All! Just starting out here on the road to credit repair. Trying desparately to pay down my debt. I've been on this road before, but kinda got off track, but I'm back and here to stay until all is well again! I'm in the process of establishing a business to help me with my finances. I figured a little extra income wouldn't hurt to help me pay off my medical and credit card debt. My business is really just a DBA and I've got a checking account for it at the bank I work for. I tried to apply for a Citi American Airlines Business card, but was denied due to 'Too many recent inquiries.' I know I have 23 inquiries on my EQ CR. Ten of those are from NFCU for what reason - I have no clue. I did have up to 56 inquiries on that file at one time and about 40 of them were from NFCU. I've done some research on here to see what I can do about a reconsideration from Citi, as I would really like to keep my business and personal expenses separate, but also get something back for my expenses with my business like I do with my personal accounts. I couldn't find any examples of a reconsideration letter anyone may have written, but I know it'd all be a case-by-case type issue. I'm really wanting some ideas for what I could tell them. I've had many Citi accounts in the past and they've been very generous with me on my two personal AA MC and AA Amex cards. Also just wondering when asking for a reconsideration if anyone recommends writing Citi for the recon or calling them. Don't know if anyone has had better luck with one over the other or what. Any information would be most greatly appreciated. Thanks for listening! *Sorry if this needs to be in the Business Credit section.. I wasn't too sure to be honest*
