Just starting out. I have a couple of paid medical collections and some cc lates I'm looking to get removed. Plan to DV CA and send dispute to CRA (1-2 punch) the med. collections and maybe goodwill the lates (If anyone has a better plan, pls let me know!).
Anyway, when i pulled my Equifax CR and also when I pull all 3 CR with TC I don't have the full acct #'s. The collections are a couple of years old and the lates are on accts I haven't used in a couple of years.
So, my question is this: Do I need to contact the CA/CC companies for the full acct numbers or just use the partials as shown on my CR? Meaning, do I need to say something like the following:
To CA:
I recently viewed my credit report and noticed that I had a collection tradeline from your company listed as CA CO NAME with an associated account number of 9999999999XXXX. I have no knowledge of any such account and would like validation....so on and so forth.
