  1. Thank you WhyChat...I have been going at this for about 2 years now and am very thankful for all you have done to help me. Here is what I started with on my Equifax Report and where it is now (In Red) 1) Overdraft Bank account (Wells Fargo) - $6,900 (in collections) Settled with CA for $1750 or 25% (waiting on removal from ChexSystems) 2) Medical Bills - ~$1000 (3 collections on my report) Removed without paying any of it 3) Credit Card - ~ $3,500 (Charged off) Removed without paying any of it 4) Credit Card - ~ $1,600 I made a deal with Wells Fargo to pay $1000. They closed the account but it's still derogatory on my report. I am very happy with all of this! I have sent a goodwill letter to Wells Fargo to have the derogatory credit card removed but no response. What else can I do to get rid of that?
  2. I had a thread going on my process but I can't find it anywhere. Here is my status (I have followed all of WhyChat's HIPPA steps, so will start where I am now): .... I sent the letter requesting validation to the CA, then waited 30 days. I heard nothing back from them. Sent another dispute letter to all 3 CRA's with copies of return receipt and letter I sent to CA. I have heard back from 2 so far: TransUnion - Deleted all Medical Collections!!! YES! I am very happy ;-) Experian - Sent me a letter (within a week) saying they had already looked at this dispute and to contact the CA directly. Equifax - Still waiting on a response What is my next step with Experian? Should I try contacting the CA? What should I say?
  3. Just a quick update...please tell me if I did something wrong. I sent the letter to the CA but received no response...It's been almost 2 months since they received the letter. I have now moved to my follow-up dispute with the CRA's, included the return receipt from the CA, and sent it CMRR. Going to see what happens!?
  4. I haven't gotten any response from the OC / CA. I have decided to send a dispute to the CRA's in hopes that they will remove it from my reports. What are my next steps if that doesn't work?
  5. Hey guys...I thought I would come on to this thread and update all of you guys on where I am now: 1) Student loans (Federal) - $20,000 at ~ 7% $19,521.16 left 2) Student loans (Private, Wells Fargo) - $16000 ~ 13% $14,344.55 left 3) Overdraft Bank account (Wells Fargo) - $6,900 (in collections) Just completed a settlement of $2,200 in full with collection agency. This was not on my credit report and I just made sure it will not be. 4) Medical Bills - ~$1000 (some in collections and on my report) Using WhyChat's HIPPA method. Had 2 of the biggest removed after the initial dispute with all 3 CRA's...sending the CA a validation letter today and will wait on their response. 5) Credit Card - ~ $3,500 (on my report) This is the toughest one, I can't get the CA to make a deal to remove the TL. I have decided to dispute it with all 3 CRA's. Hopefully it will be removed. If not I don't know what I will do next? 6) Credit Card - ~ $1,600 (was on my report, I made a deal with wells fargo to pay $1000 of it and they would close the account but not say paid in full....did I make a big mistake here?) Paid in full to Wells Fargo. Is listed on my report and sent 2 goodwill letters asking for deletion but no dice.
  6. What should I do? Pay for it anyways?
  7. I am working with RJM Acquisitions to pay off a Wells Fargo over drafted bank account of $6800. I sent a proposal letter which they agreed to. Their letter back to me says "payment in full" for the payment of $2,200. This was great but that is all the letter says. Here are my questions: 1) Wells Fargo is reporting this to Chex Systems...will this be enough for deletion from that system? 2) Will they be able to report this on my credit reports moving forward? 3) Will I be able to get it removed from my CR's if they do? I called and they said they would not be able to send me a letter stating they would not report it in the future and that they would not be able to take me off chex systems because they were not reporting it in the first place.
  8. Perfect! Thanks for your response!
  9. I read this on another board and was curious if it was true? If this is the case...what can I do to help my report? I have a credit card on my report that is charged off. Should I just wait the 7 years? How much will my score go up if I pay off the debt?
  10. Hey WhyChat...I received a correspondence in the mail from a company called CSC Credit Services. The correspondence looks like a credit report. It looks like they are handling my disputes? It shows which items were investigated. Then says to review the attached credit file for the current status of each item. It then lists 3 of the collections (one was dropped) Collection Agency: IC Systems Original Creditor: FOR SETON HEATHCARE What should I do? What does this company constitute. Do I now have the records I need to prove a connection between the OC and CA?
  11. Gotcha! Sorry for the confusion! 2 more quick questions: 1) 2 of the collections are with the same CA...should I send one letter for both to the CA or separate with separate CMRRR's? 2) Should I include every CRA that is reporting in the same letter I.E. "This letter is being sent to you in response to your recent fraudulent verification of an unknown medical account on my Experien, TransUnion & Equifax report" Or send a separate letter for each CRA?
  12. The "Medical DV" is this right: You're basically saying that I need to send it to the CA every 30 days until they respond with something that proves they are in contact with the OC. Then if I get something from the CA, I am able to send payment and the insert (a) letter to the OC to get the TL deleted.
  13. As an update. I decided to email the head of collections the letter that was revised earlier in this thread. I am gonna wait on a response and let you guys know how it went. I have a feeling he will come back and say that I must pay the amount and they will change the listing to account paid in full. I also have a feeling that it will do nothing for my credit score. It seems that a paid bad TL on your report is the same as an open bad TL.
  14. Hey WhyChat, I was looking at the letter you told me to send and it doesn't seem like it is right for my situation. I don't think these medical bills are out of the SOL and I have not paid them as of yet. The 2 that got removed from my report have not been paid either...It seems I got lucky on those 2. Should I send this letter anyway?
  15. If this is the case then there is no way they have made that deadline...I am not sure of the exact figures but it has to be at least 45 days. I will wait for EX an EQ to respond as well and send the letters. Thanks and I will keep you updated.
