Hey...Just tried to pull my credit on myfico.com and card was declined?! Tried again and same result. Problem is...there's plenty in the bank to cover it; even went and double checked with online banking. Double checked that I put info in correctly, tried again, and still declined card. Anyone else having problems with them today? Should I try again later?

Hello again everyone, I'm back after a few year hiatus, just wanted to say hello and wish me luck. Going to get started on Sat. morning with mine and my wifes credit. I was here a while back, trying to raise my score so I could get a new motorcycle at a better rate. Now, I'm trying to raise mine and my wife's scores so that we can do a mortgage refi and put some money away for college and retirement. Amazing what can happen in a short amount of time eh? If anyone has any advice or tips for me, I'd be happy to hear them. Been doing a LOT of reading on here so I feel OK to get started now. I'll probably be asking some pretty typical newbie questions, so please be patient. There's so much to read on here. I will keep you all posted on my progress.

Hey, I just declared CH7 and like you, I had a repo prior to BK. I can tell you this: If you are considering BK, do it now. Lenders look at the time line on your credit report, meaning they look for a pattern of things going downhill and ending in BK. The usual timeline they look for is 18 months or less. I know this because I recently purchased a car, and all but one finance company rejected me because my repo was outside the 18 month window. From what I understand, lenders (car loans anyway) will pretty much overlook whatever happened 18 months prior to filing for BK. Hope this helps. -
Hey, I don't mean this to come off badly, but why would you WANT an interest only loan? Doesn't that mean you're not paying on the principle and therefore will never get it paid for? If you're doing this to get lower payments and this is all you can afford, how can you pay extra to pay down the principle? I've just heard bad things about interest only loans, just make sure that this is right for you, and not the person selling it to you. Good Luck!

This link explains how to open an account with USAA. I just did it, and man am I glad. You don't have to be in the military or have a family member in the military to get a checking/savings account. You do have to be in to get some of their other benefits, such as insurance. You will love them, especially if you're used to being treated shabbily by other banks. They'll take all your info over the phone, even take the initial deposit (as low as 50.00) then send your debit card/checks/signature card in the mail. Here's the link: http://www.chexvictims.com/AspNetForums/Sh...px?PostID=12642 Good Luck!

Thanks...Here's another question: Do I have to wait a year after the BK is discharged to start disputing? Anyone have any experience with this? According to Lexington, they haven't had any luck disputing things that were included in Bk until after it has been discharged for a year? What do you guys think? I can't imagine that it's better to wait, but you'd think that they wouldn't be discouraging me to give them money if it weren't true? Help? :?:

How exactly to go about it? Everything was included in CH7 BK. Should I dispute them as not mine? How many can I dispute at a time? When typing the letter, can I put multiple account numbers on the same letter; ie: The following accounts are not mine: XXX-XXX, XXX-XXX or do I need to do a seperate letter for each? If I do need a seperate letter for each, do I send them in seperate envelopes, all CRRR? Or can I send 5 or 6 in one envelope? Any thoughts? How do you guys do it?

Well, I've already opted out - so I'm 20 percent done right? Should I wait to order CR until BK is discharged?

Well? Anyone?
