I got Pilot and BP fuel no PG. the BP app asks for PG online. I abandoned mid app then they called me and I did a no PG app via phone.

I was coming here to say this. Most “World Elite” cards have benefits I’d use and mean something and require a certain income to receive. I feel like Cap1 “upgraded” everyone, as several of my friends got it as well.

I applied for some low balance sub-prime cards this week because I stopped using credit (made the mistake of closing accounts) for a couple years and paid down debt. I got approved for Credit One Bank, and Capital One Quicksilver, but got denied for Avant. My scores are 619-639 right now so I don't even know if I will get approved for anything else. My annual income is just over $100k. $19k left on an auto loan. One $10k charge off that I am paying down through the attorneys in lieu of proceeding with the court case (withdrew the motion when I appeared in court) but it hasn't changed on my report yet. Any ideas on cards I can qualify for if any? Also, how long should I wait between sprees. Trying to get my available credit up.

I live in Illinois. They supposedly sold the car for $500. I made payments on it for about 6 months and then stopped because I didn't even have the car, and the balance wasn't going down. I was paying $175/biweekly on a 2002 Dodge Neon that was worth $2k at most. They are hard pulls, not soft. I think that covers everyone's questions. Edit: And I haven't opened any new lines of credit since I got that loan in March 2014.

Short story: I bought a car that broke down on me 6 weeks after I bought it. Had the dealer come back and get it. Stopped paying, account was charged off last year. But the in-house finance company keeps pulling hard inquiries on my report about 2x a month. Should I dispute these? Any way to get them to stop? (ie. letters to the creditor) Thanks in advance. Edit: I knew I'd be on the hook for it, but the car was worth less than the repairs, so I was stuck with an $11K loan on a crap car. Yes, I know it was a bad deal to start, was trying to use it to repair my credit, and ended up in worse shape than before I started.

I use credit, but only for the Chase reward points. It takes 2-3 days for it to post, but I dont have a large amount held (I think some banks here in Chicago hold $75).

I have a NC Secured Visa which expires in November 2010. Im writing to find out what has happened to other NC secured cardholders now that NC is owned by PNC. Did you receive a new card after the old card expired? Was your account closed? I want to know what to expect so that I can prepare to replace this line of credit if necessary. Any info is appreciated! Chi

National City/PNC did this to my SECURED 9.99% card. Now it's a Prime + 14.99% card. I was HIGHLY upset. I think Im going to stop using the card. I was trying to build my credit, but not at that ridiculous rate.

Thats awful. I guess I should have just bought them home while still in BK. Now it looks like Ive missed the tax credit. Are there any lenders who would approve on a discharged 13 like mine for FHA?

Hi all, I filed CH13 BK back in 2005 (long story, REALLY not my fault (parent stole identity) - unlike others lol). I was discharged in April of this year. Now I know I could have gotten an FHA during my BK13 with a year of on time payments. But what people on the board are saying is that now that Im discharged I have to wait 2 years from discharge instead of from filing? I thought the 2 yrs post discharge rule was only for Ch. 7s. Or is the law backwards and would let me take on a mortgage while making high plan payments, but then not once Im done paying? Makes no sense.

My scores are hovering between 580 and 598 for nearly 6 months now. Working on improving, dont know if its possible since Im always denied lines, and already have 2 secured cards, but I digress. Is anyone out there still doing 580 FHAs?
