Just found out it is going to cost me 40.00 to file the Withdrawal with the county clerks office. :-(
-
Took a week total, but the IRS sent me back the information about having it removed from the Credit companies and the notice to give to the county. He told me he couldn't submit it to anyone because it does not exists in there system any longer. (Wonder if I could claim that it doesn't exist and have it removed from public record entirely?) He said I have to hand deliver it to the county. That is a pain but I guess worth it.

Still waiting. I had to go to the local courts and get a copy of my release of the original lien and fax it over. Will let you all know the results as soon as I find out.

thought this was funny. The IRS called and I have to get them a copy of the release of the IRS tax lien and then fax it to the IRS. I would have assumed the IRS had that info already. Under this new thing with the IRS does it also remove it from Public Record or will it always remain? The County clerk said it will not come off of public record. I thought withdrawn would see it as never even existing?

Well I sent it off. Wish me luck. I paid the tax in full several years ago so hopefully it is a simple thing. I even sent off a copy of the addresses of the 3 Credit Reporting Agencies. Since my tax was paid in full 4-5 years ago I wonder how much it is still hurting my credit anyway. Just would be nice to have it removed.

Thanks so much. Going to do that. When I tried to have it removed last year I was told I needed written proof that it being on my report was forcing me to be denied credit. Hopefully this works great :-)

What is the best way to go about getting the Lien removed? Call up and request it or go through the Taxpayer advocate? My lien was paid in full a few years ago and I wonder if it would include that. Last thing to be removed from my credit report.

Bankruptcy and new car loans/lease question
nydanny replied to nydanny's topic in Automotive Financing
yeah I am sure they will make sure it is listed as discharged on all reports before applying for anything. We were discussing and they didn't know what to expect right after a discharge of Chapter 13. They were going to wait until it is finalized before even starting to pull credit reports to see where they stand. They did hold a car payment and mortgage for the entire chapter 13 and never late on either so hopefully some of that helps. -
My parents are just coming out of a Chapter 13 (last payment next month) During the bankruptcy they had a car loan (Never late.) When they are out of the Bankruptcy they would like to look for a new car or a lease. Could they be approved so fast after a BK or is it advisable to wait a period of time before even thinking of looking for a new car?

Well, for my Loan, Infiniti was going to use Transunion, but when I decided to lease they used Equifax. Don't know why the change, but that is what they told me.
-
For IFS they used Equifax for my leasing. If it was going to buy they were using transunion. This was last week and in NY. I think 740 sounds about right on the Tier 1. I was at 724 on my regular fico. Not sure what the enhanced would have been. I was put into Tier 2 for my lease. It turned out to be 6 dollars different from Tier 1 in my case. This was for a G37x I only put down the New York State sales tax on mine.
-
Went to the dealer today. I decided to lease the car. I got nervous because the financing person said it could take like an hour or so for the approval to come through. My Transunion score was 772. For the lease they used Equifax. Equifax is lower then my transunion. I was approved for Tier 2 financing. That added only 6 dollars to my monthly payment. Marv & Everyone, I really appreciate your help. Without Creditboards help I'd be sitting pretty low on my scores.

Thanks Elizabeth, Well this afternoon I was looking at my Experian report. Experian was the last of my reports to still have the Unifund on it. I called Experian today to discuss it with them and was told that it is going to remain on my report until the second week in April. I figured why dispute it with them and chance problems with less then a month of it remaining on my report. I told the lady on the phone that I would like an email when it was removed and she signed me up. I also asked about my DOFD and she said that it was July 03 according to her reports and that they are choosing to remove it in April but it could have been left until July. Anyway, two hours after hanging up, I get an email that Unifund as well as the original credit company were removed from my Experian report. This turned out to be a great month. I still have a paid tax lien that was paid/released 5 years ago on my report, and going to try to work on that next but other then that my Scores are moving up. I owe it ALL to the Creditboards members and staff.

Have not had a chance to hit the dealers yet, work caught up with me this week. Good news though I checked my TU FICO score and last week it was at 716 and after disputing two things it jumped to 757 on MYFICO. My EQ went from 712 to 724. My Experian plus score says it is at 707, but none of the stuff disputed on Experian has come back yet. So hopefully my chances have improved some based on FICO. I hope to hit the dealers this weekend.

WOOT, I had disputed the Unifund on Wed and this morning it was deleted from my credit report. So far it is only remaining on my Experian. Also disputed some other stuff on my equifax and my score went from from 712 to 724
