Will credit card companies allow a balance transfer from my wife's credit card to mine? My card has a much lower APR than hers. Has anyone here had success doing this? Which credit card company? Thanks in advance.

At what point after charge off do credit card OCs stop doing ARs? Would OCs like American Express or Chase keep doing monthly or quarterly account reviews for the entire 7 year reporting period? Can they still do ARs after 7 years or past the statute of limitations?

I applied to all the major credit card companies. When I had only AU lines on my credit report, the only approval I received was from Capital One for a $500 credit card.

Are Authorized User lines really helpful when applying for new credit? Do credit card companies ignore authorized user lines when evaluating an application? In my experience, authorized user lines have not helped. I had two authorized user credit card lines with high limits and low utilization that date from the 1980s and they did not help me when I applied for credit cards; I had no credit lines of my own at the time. When I got denied, the letters all gave the same reason: "insufficient credit history."

How often do Capital One Credit Steps cards get credit line increases? I have had a Capital One Platinum Visa for six months now in the Credit Steps program and I have only gotten one credit line increase from $500 to $750. How often do these credit line increases happen?

Is there a business credit report that lists credit history for someone's business credit cards? Business credit cards currently do not report to consumer credit reports. Are they reporting to something else?

Has anyone here ordered a copy of their ChexSystems report? What kind of information does it contain? Does it show a list of current or former bank accounts? Who is allowed to make inquiries besides banks? Can collection agencies pull it?
