  1. Thanks you for the info all!
  2. They have already requested the payoff amount. I would assume that would not include the Nov Payment. So this would be "funding in the Nov payment?" If I make the payment, this will make the payoff amount less. What happens to the extra monies paid?
  3. We are doing a streamline refinance. I was hoping to close this month but we were recently told we will probably close the first week of Nov. I was hoping to use Nov's payment for a special project. My questions are 1. Should I make Nov payment even though I close the first week of Nov? 2. If I should make Nov payment would I skip the Dec Payment? 3. Would it do any harm to skip the Nov payment? (fund date is within grace period) 4. Would I be better off making the Nov payment? I plan on using which ever months payment that I get to skip for a long overdue project. I was just hoping to start the project sooner than later as it will take 3 months from start to finish.
  4. Thanks for the reply. Thats what I'm doing is an IRRL. I was looking for recommendations for company's to go with from others who have done this. I appreciate the advise though I am currently getting GFE's through two different places. I will try to post my experience for others when I am finished. Just a side note. I currently have a 6.5% and looking at either 3.75%, or 4.125%, or 4.0% depending on the structure of the loan. But either way you structure it WHAT A SAVINGS!
  5. Bump for this weeks crowd
  6. We are currently looking to refinance our VA loan. Citimortgage is the current holder. We have no liens or second mortgages, always pay on time and have had this mortgage since 2008. We wanted to get some advice/opinions of others who have refinanced their VA loan. Who would you recommend? was it quick and painless? what out of pocket costs did you have? Mainly we would like to get recommendations on who we should check out to get this done.
  7. Back when I had to do the same thing I got my first paperwork (notice of intent to sell/auction and date) about 3 months after the repo. I recieved the (notice of balance due after sale) about 1 month after the date of Auction. YMMV
  8. I just spoke with a rep. She insured me I was a "full member" and I can take advantage of all of USAA services. She said sometime there are offers they can see on the system that will not show up on the web site. So they just don't have the "luv" for me yet I guess. It has been a long journey and I am very happy with what I have accomplished with the help of this site. To name a few.......Raised my FICO from High 500's to 700+ after a tough time adjusting from military life, Opened 5+ credit lines, 2 Car loans, Purchased my first house, Won a lawsuit against Asset Acceptance, Removed all (except medical) collections and a Judgment on my credit reports! All that since 2004 or 2005. I think I can wait on USAA they will show me "luv" sometime
  9. I am a full member I joined when in the USAF. I have Insurance and banking through them as well. Guess I'll call and see whats up.
  10. I recently called USAA and while on the phone they said I was offered a CC if I would like to apply. At the time I was trying for a loan and did not want to take the time. I asked if I could see the offer online or should I call back if/when I was interested. She told me that I should see it in the "My Offers" area of the web site. I had never recieved any offers show up there so I decided to check later and still have never seen any offers. I did not bother to call back to see why. Has anyone ever been told hey should see an offer there and never get any? Just curious if maybe my "My offers" area has a glitch
  11. I didnt close my acount per say but back in 2002 I fel bhind on insurance payments and owed close to $300. Around 2007 I forgot I was a member and when I tried to join they said I already was. I paid what I had owed from back in 2002 and now have insurance and banking through them. Maybe not what you were looking for but it may help
  12. I just bought a house in Sept 08 using my VA. I hear alot about the VA Rate Reduction or stream line as some say. Would it be worth my time to look into doing this so soon after buying? What would the approximate out of pocket costs be? My current Mortgage is about 135,000 at 6.5
  13. sighhhhhh "Thanks to all of you who helped make the Free FICO Score offer a resounding success! Sorry, but there are no more free scores available." Missed it by THAT MUCH!
  14. Great! Thanks for the heads up! I will look for it in the next cycle
