  1. Walmart steadily increased my limit every 3 months. I pay on time and have never been late. I expected an increase this statement and have not had one for at least 6 months. They lowered my line to dollars above what I owed them. Has this happened to anyone else recently?!
  2. I joined creditboards.com in 2005. I had many baddies on my reports. When i say many, i mean between 10-20 on each report. Currently, I have none!! Unfortunately, I have managed to get myself into a different kind of trouble. Since 2005, I married, I have a child, my wife stopped working to take care of our son, I had costly mechanical problems with one of our cars until I finally got rid of it, among other things. So, now I have debt. I detailed my personal credit card debts and will update to a hopefully successful end story. It will definitely take me time to pay off my credit debt but, I am certainly open to advice on ways to achieve debt freedom. I have created a monthly credit payment budget. I will be paying slightly over the the minimum on most cards and the remainder of my budget will go towards getting rid of the smallest cards first. Like I said, any suggestions are welcome. I know that paying the highest interest rates will pay the debt slightly faster but, I think I would rather rid myself of some of the smaller balances first. 3. I have been paying off an account with American General for quite some time. IT had an astromonical interest rate but, I borrowed to pay moving expenses like first, last and security. If they did not lend me the money, I would have not been able to move. My payment is 140 a month and it was a 36 month loan but, for the life of the loan I have sent them 150 a month. This loan will finally be paid off in 3 months. I would borrow from them again only at lower rates. But, I appreciate that they loaned me money when no one else would have.
  4. It was not due to fall off for 2 years.
  5. Well, I disputed for years. I did nothing special. Disputed this time and it came off. I just checked my equifax score though and it dropped from 650 to 614!!! The only difference on report was the age of this account. The deletion removed 20 late payments but took my score down a ton
  6. I disputed first premier again. It would never leave my reports when i disputed. I disputed with experian and it came off of experian and equifax within 3 days!! It has not yet come off of transunion but, i disputed with them as well.
  7. this has happened to me many times only for it to jump right back down. i think it could be a glitch in their system. each time i buy the report to see if things have fallen off and score is real. it never is. once i buy report it shows real score. also, it could be a split file. i hope its real for you. just giving my experience
  8. Has anyone else lost the button on conversion?
  9. After many attempts bank of america finally changed my worldpoints card to their pet rewards visa. I received no change to my $500 credit limit. The weirder thing is the credit limit increase button is gone!! Anyone know why?
  10. THey refuse to give increases!! I have alot of other credit but they wont give any!
  11. I have been trying to get a cli on my bank of america card forever!!! I have had the card for 18 months at 500 limit and never a cli!!! I switched today to a pet rewards visa and I am praying that this will trigger an auto cli!!
  12. I just sent this so we will see what happens. Hello, In May 2007 I applied for the Citi Platinum Select Mastercard credit account. Yesterday I received a letter from Citibank stating that I was denied due to a delinquent credit obligation that appeared on my Transunion credit report. The reference # on this letter is XXXXXX. In college I went through a period of financial strain and, not knowing better, I allowed my credit card payments to lapse thinking I could get a handle on them once I got things sorted out. As time went on, I got further and further behind and with the interest and late fees being added on monthly, I found myself unable to get current again. I ended up in default and the accounts charged off. In the years since, I have had perfect payment history and am now searching for accounts with prime banks that I can transfer balances to my from sub-prime accounts. I chose to apply for the Citi Platinum Select Mastercard account because I have heard a lot of good things about Citi and in doing my own research, I feel your the APR and benefits the card offers will suit my long-terms needs well. In light of these things, I would like to ask that Citi reconsider my application for your Platinum Select Mastercard credit account. I appreciate your time and consideration in this matter and look forward to a favorable response from Citi. Best Regards, Daniel
  13. I received 2 preapproved mailings recently. PEach direct/GEMB for 2500 and Home Depot/CITI for 7500. BOth in fact approved me and at those credit limits. I wont be using either card, so it will improve my util.
  14. We use care credit for patients in our dental office. They have many different programs and a pretty high approval rate.
